Strategy and values
The new strategy of the Population Register Centre sets policies for our agency from 2010 until 2014 at the core of the digitalising society.
On one hand the change we are pursuing during our new strategy period is characterised by information and society’s knowledge assets being utilised in new ways and increasingly in the provision of services and wellbeing. On the other hand, our strategy recognises digitalisation extending into all areas of the everyday activity of citizens, enterprises and public administration. Functionally this change requires from us as well as from other public administration organisations a focus on enabling this activity - public administrative work and the production and development of content that can be utilised broadly.
Therefore the core of our new strategy can be summarised in a few words: core duties, focus, cooperation, effectiveness and confidence.
We use specific goals and tools to implement our strategy. These have been divided into five perspectives in our strategy: the society perspective,
service user perspective, stakeholder perspective, operations and processes perspective and employee and competence perspective.
Vision
Our vision is: "Effectiveness and confidence through cooperation".
Our constructive and open cooperation creates effectiveness and confidence that benefits the entire society.
Mission
We focus on the continuous development of Population Information System content and certification. We create and certify identities. We enable the efficient activity of users and suppliers of information.
Values
Our values are customer orientation while at the forefront of development, ethical practices and management and joint effort with respect for the individual.
